pve warrior without factions
does this work?
all of the great builds need factions to work properly because of its skills: dragon slash, sun and moon slash, etc
the only build i can find that is rather good is the cleave warrior, but that sucks compared to dragon slash
so do you think that warrior without factions is pointless?

Without factions you're missing out on dslash and triple chop, which are the most common/effective for pve. It doesn't mean you're totally useless.
[skill]Flail[/skill][skill]Enraging Charge[/skill][skill]Crippling Slash[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Final Thrust[/skill][skill]Conjure Frost[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

[skill]Eviscerate[/skill] is still powerful and not to be overlooked.
While Dslash and Triple chop are the best war attack elites, the other elites can still be used very effectively if your smart.

Never said it was good in PvE, but when you don't have factions that and eviscerate are pretty much your only options. It's also not that bat to catch moving targets when you have flail, or just catching monsters in HM.

Warriors were fine before Factions and Nf. Just becasue you don't have factions doesn't mean you are completely useless. There are plenty of good builds that you can make. Mix and match.

Replace Enraging Charge with Rush and you can drop strength very low, Flail and Rush don't need much spec to be maintained.

Why bring Rush? Enemies only kite a lot when you're in Hard Mode and even Rush won't be enough to catch those fleeing enemies. If it's a cancel for Flail so what? It's PvE, there will be a nearby enemy you can beat on that won't take you more than a second or two to move next to. I'm not using a skill slot to get to that enemy slightly faster.

You could use [skill]Bulls Charge[/skill] if you want an elite that does some damage if you want to use sword. This followed along with sever, gash, final thrust or sever, gash and bull charge.Final Thrust is close to being an elite though and if you want you could use [skill]"Charge!"[/skill]

To be honest I don't care, use whatever you like, I was just giving an example.

sorry to interrupt on this wonderful discussion,
but you say that cripslash and evis are the only good non factions elites
well does anyone have a build or an outline for an evis pve build? because if it is just evis and executioners and other high adrenaline skills, that seems silly because you can spike down 1 target out of 3 or something (correct me if i am wrong here)

I don't like Eviscerate in PvE but if I were to use it, my build would look like this:
12+1+1 Axe Mastery
9+1 Strength
9+1 Tactics
Eviscerate
Executioner's
Whirlwind Attack
Cyclone Axe
Flail
Enraging Charge
"Watch Yourself!"
Resurrection Signet
EDIT: To the above poster: The OP said he doesn't have factions.

Many simple builds will work very well, just remeber your in a party and not solo.
[skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Cyclone Axe[/skill][skill]Eviscerate[/skill][skill]Conjure Lightning[/skill][skill]Shock[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Disrupting Chop[/skill][skill]Frenzy[/skill]
Now you will need a competent monk to heal you and keep conditions/hexes off of you but you will deal some very nice damage. If you don't trust yourself with Frenzy swap with Flail or even [skill]Healing Signet[/skill]
Attributes: 14 Axemastery
9 Tactics
10 Air Magic

i know i should test it out myself and see what i prefer, but being a bit lazy, which one would you generally recommend over the other: conjure fire/ice/lightning or enduring harmony?
i know both skills are excellent, and it might be too situational to decide on superiority, but which one tends to do the job better?
(sry teutonic paladin, i like your build too)

the old builds are underpowered because of power creep. with more skills Anet made specialized skills that actually have great synergy, instead of a few good skills that everyone had to use.

I'm in a similar situation, I have been using this bar for several weeks and it works extremely well.

Strength: 8 + 2 (or 9 + 1 to get rid of the major rune)
Swordsmanship: 12 + 1 + 1
Tactics: 10 + 1
[skill]Savage Slash[/skill][skill]Soldier's Strike[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Crippling Slash[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Enraging Charge[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Works extremely well as a general build, especially useful against kiters and spellcasters.
edit: Heres a screen I got when I was first trying it out:

I'd personally use Arkantos' bar and drop WY (and bring it on a hero) since as Racthoh said, a quad spec isn't nice. Probably bring some other attack skill or whatnot
